Occupy Oakland evicted this morning

It seemed to be generally peaceful, and the arrests were of people doing civil disobedience.

7:16 a.m. | Hundreds of police officers raided Occupy Oakland and peacefully evicted protesters. Police in riot gear continued to surround the plaza and city officials were walking through the camp. The camp was declared a crime scene in order to keep the plaza closed off.

What’s the fucking point, Oakland government? Seriously… The encampment is “a crime scene?” I think you have it mixed up with the bank boardrooms across the street.

Today at 4pm, Oakland Library, 14th & Madison, it all starts again.
